"A Lighthouse in our Community"

Montrose Baptist Church

We like to think of ourselves as "A Lighthouse in Our Community," a place
where those caught in the stormy seas of life can come into contact with the
light of Christ and be led into safe harbor.  But we don't want to stop there.
Safe harbor is a comfortable place to be, but there are still others at the will and
whim of the wind and waves.  Our goal is that each Christ-follower would join
the search and rescue team, bringing others into contact with the light, leading
them into safe harbor, and training them to be fully functioning members of the
search and rescue team.

Here's how the discipleship process looks alongside the lighthouse metaphor:

Step 1:  Knowing God.
From Stormy Seas to Seeing the Light

Step 2:  Growing in Christ.
From Seeing the Light to Safe Harbor

Step 3:  Gowing with the Spirit.
From Safe Harbor to Search & Rescue
